The top of the house, only in exceptional years. From old vines over 60 years, foot-trodden in a granite lagar and 18 months in French oak. Wild black fruit, vanilla and spice; silky tannins and an endless finish.
Where it comes from
From the Quinta do Palato, in Muxagata, in the Douro Superior — schist terraces where altitude and thermal range keep the fruit fresh. From the grape varieties Old vines 60+ yrs · field blend. Limited production of 3,500 bottles.
